Where is the Oshawa Skeet and Gun club located?

We are located at 5245 Wilson Rd N. Oshawa. That's about 2 km east of the Simcoe St and Coates Rd. intersection.

To reach us from Oshawa, drive north on Simcoe St to Coates Rd, then drive East along Coates Rd. until you reach Wilson Rd. and follow the signs. Click here to get directions to our facilities through Google Maps.

What are your hours of operation?

The club operates year round. Our hours of operation are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 09:30 am to 4:00 pm, and licensed visitors are only allowed to come to the club during those hours.

Can anyone come to the Oshawa Skeet and Gun club?

No. Only licensed individuals are allowed to visit the club. Unlicensed individuals are not allowed, even as spectators.

When visitors arrive, they must check-in at the club house where they will be asked to present a valid PAL and sign the club's liability waiver. They will then be issued with a visitor's badge that must be worn at all times while on club property. For more information please contact the club house.

Please note: All visitors must familiarize themselves with the range rules, these are prominently posted in several areas around the club. The Club reserves the right to eject anyone not following the rules or behaving in an unsafe manner.

Do you rent firearms?

No, we don't rent or loan firearms, we don't store firearms on-site. Members and visitors must provide their own firearms.

How much does it cost to visit to your club?

Check out our membership and rates page for our current prices. The club sells Target Loads in 12Ga, 1oz and 7-1/2 shot size.

Visitors are not required to purchase ammunition from the club and can bring their own, but we only allow:

  • "Target Loads", 1-1/2oz maximum, these can be in 12Ga, 20Ga, 28Ga or 410Ga
  • maximum shell size of 2-3/4 inch
  • shot sizes of 7-1/2, 8 or 9, nothing bigger
  • absolutely NO hunting loads are permitted
  • absolutely NO steel shot is permitted

How can I apply for membership or have my name added to a waiting list?

Our membership is full, and we don't maintain a waiting list. Between 20 and 30 visitors per week come to the club, use our facilities and enquire about membership.

Memberships expire on December 31st, and the renewal deadline is January 31st. Our current membership level is capped at 1,300 (plus family).

In February we tabulate the renewals received and determine how many new members we can accept. Our membership turnover averages 20 members per year.

Can I access your rifle range to sight-in my rifle?

No. The rifle and handgun ranges are for members and their guests only, public access is not available.
